Introduction
For centuries humans have pondered the idea of God. The biggest questions are what/who is it and how this thing trickles into our ethics or morals. Here is my definition of God and how I believe we should look at it. From there I will also defend the Christian point of view as personally it is my take. I will look into major conspiracies and make them make sense and then wrap up in a practical way that will give way to whatever is out there.
God Defined
What comes first the chicken or the egg? The old physics question that makes you wonder; what is powering all of this? That there, we will define as God. You can say breath, universe, or spirit, it doesn’t matter. That empty void that gives everything… it’s everything. Start there. Not a person or “he” or whatever, just…that.
If you accept this, then you can move forward…(atheists typically stop here, and agnostics pick up).
Limits
Neil Degrasse said once that we are 1% smarter than monkeys. This means all of the physics and Elon Muskians we produce is only 1% greater than a monkey. If you take that and move 2% or even 3%, there is a world where our minds are laughable and the knowledge of the universe is far more expanding than we can ever think of. Even more so, that God, or the universe, is ever expanding. Did you read that? The infinities we already know to be out there is still expanding at light speeds we will never probably know. With that, all of our imagination can exist in this idea of God. Aliens, giants, and all.
What is right or what is wrong?
Here it’s tricky, but what seems to be at play here is light and dark. Simple. No? Okay, Electrons and protons, or + and – on the magnet. My point is morals and ethics play a game in our minds, but that isn’t the whole concept. You can’t wind it up to “ killing is bad.”Can you even kill things in certain universes?” or even further, can you destroy energy? Ahh. Now you see. A moral virtue we all seem to hold dear seems to slip right through the cracks. Therefore, we must go deeper into its essence. Speaking of ethics. It is simply the energy in which one is pulling, either left or right. If you are right you are of the light and therefore moral and blah, and so on vice versa. This is what the Christian viewpoint seems to believe. In their view, from Jesus and how he took the law and redefined it, it was all about heart posture. Align yourself with God, align yourself with this positive energy. Through this, you can kill like in the Old Testament, or take, or build, or love, or even make love, but it must be through this energy, if it is not, it is wrong. Not the act, but the energy used to commit the act seems to be more of the essence. I think this is true for all ethics. It is not merely what you do, but the form in which you do it – try explaining that to a monkey, and therefore the Ten Commandments as a starting ground.
Conclusion
So my final point concerning God, I wrap up. God is that limitless thing powering all of this. There seem to be 2 forms of energy in this world (positive and negative), and we as Christians, believing the word of Jesus, do our best to utilize the positive energy in all our acts.
P.S.
There might be questions concerning heaven, and the stories of the bible. To that I say. In this limitless universe, we were of the light, and in some universal form of play and drama, we fell from the light, and this course on earth is another form of play, so we can get back to where we came from. As this universe is limitless, we are just a story-in a broader set of other stories- across many spectrums.
